This past week I took a trip to Canada, it was beautiful and made for a great blog post setting. The weather wasn't too warm, which was nice and meant I could pair a sweater with shorts, one of my favorite combinations. I love the cut of this sweater, it's not too much of a cropped fitting just long enough to wear with low rise shorts. The arms of the sweater are nice for summer, not too snug and are always an added bonus for comfort. I paired a button up underneath for a contrast and to break up the black in the shorts with the navy. The combination of navy and black works-- there's been a lot of talk whether or not its acceptable, but if worn in a proportionate way, it definitely does. These silk shorts are great, and comfortable to walking around, the paisley print gives a mix to the whole ensemble.
I added a few photos from dinner at the Empress hotel as well as some shots of the exterior and the building I shot the photos of my outfit. The weather was awfully cloudy on the ferry, but the tones of the sky and water nicely complemented each other. More of my trip will be posted soon.
