It was a cold birthday this year, but an eventful one as well. I was able to see some of my favorite painter's work, and more incredible pieces by lots of great artists. The Brooklyn Museum has an exhibit dedicated to many designs by Jean Paul Gaultier, which I was lucky enough to see. I'm extremely thankful I was able to spend my birthday experiencing such exciting things.
As for my outfit, I stayed with the minimal color pallet I'm used to and most comfortable in. Black skinnies are ideal for a day in the city and provide a sleek look, so I knew they would be perfect for the day. Layering is one of my favorite things about winter, and I took to the trend buy pairing a peter pan collar under a leather thank top, softening the look. This grey blazer is great, not too sophisticated, and the cut is different adding a unique vibe to it. Although I would have loved to be wearing my white ankle boots, they are just not suitable for the weather, so I went with my black Chelsea boots.
