City Silk

This has to be one of my favorite blog posts, altogether. Not only do I adore this outfit, but shooting and putting this together was the most fun. I had multiple people take the photos, and it's so true, the photographer really makes a difference, the energy and creativity each of them bring contrasts so much, but it's so great to have that for my blog. I was also surrounded with a bunch of my friends, who are extremely supportive, so that's always nice and comfortable. You can't go wrong with a photographer who tells you to feel and act like Kanye, while singing the chorus to Can't Tell me Nothin'.

As for the outfit, I recently picked up this lamb skin taupe leather jacket. At first I thought 'I don't need another leather jacket, I just purchased one, but as soon as I put it on I knew it would find a home in my closet instantly. Printed pants are a weakness for me, I'm always searching for pants that will add to an outfit, instead of owning hundreds of basics black pants or even jeans. Plus, pants are pretty essential... These ones which recently found a quick spot in my closet are silk and kind of a different play on the plaid/ relaxed trouser fit. I kept it simple and chose a dressier tank, in white to go with a summer feel, because although I'm dressed for fall, it's still eighty degrees and sunny. These boots were a pick up for the fall, but I couldn't resist wearing them sooner. I thought I'd take a break from the all black theme that's been current in my wordrobe, and purchase these grey chelsea boots.

Although this isn't exactly summer inspired, I hope it gets you thinking about fall, we're only a month away!
